Serving the President

In January 2017, Mr. Clark joined the presidential transition as the White House Liaison to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, leading the Administration in assuming operational control of government’s largest agency. As White House Liaison for HHS, Mr. Clark oversaw hiring for the Agency's nearly 200 presidential personnel and the filling of 180 boards and commissions, including the President's Council on Sports, Fitness & Nutrition. A long-time volunteer youth soccer coach, Mr. Clark managed to get some coaching in at the White House's sports council kickoff.

Mr. Clark then went on to serve as Policy Advisor in the White House’s Domestic Policy Council and Senior White House Executive in the Executive Office of the President.

In 2018, Mr. Clark served as HHS “acting” Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs, where he directed the agency’s leading role in the Trump Administration’s 2018 Opioid Crisis Response public relations rollout.  The HHS team delivered over 50 national and regional media interviews and multiple live events, reaching a combined audience of over 25 million.

Electing President Trump, 2016

In 2016, Mr. Clark served as the California State Director and Southwest U.S. Political Coordinator for the Trump/Pence campaign.  In the California presidential primary, Mr. Clark directed a grass roots and earned media campaign that swept opponents Ted Cruz and John Kasich in all 53 congressional districts, earning 172 California delegates for Donald J. Trump and locking up the national GOP nomination.

In the General election, Mr. Clark helped plan and execute earned media efforts to shore-up must-win states Utah and Texas, and his team organized thousands of volunteers into 24 call-centers to contact over 2 million swing voters in battleground states Pennsylvania, Michigan, Ohio, North Carolina, and Florida – all of which were won by the campaign.

Leading Communications Strategist

In 2009, Mr. Clark formed Clark Strategy Group with clients throughout the Western United States.  Prior to that, he served as a Partner at Johnson-Clark Associates.  Mr. Clark’s track record includes running multi-million-dollar, statewide public affairs and political campaigns, as well as directing localized legislative and congressional efforts.  He is a multiple winner of the “Pollie Award” from the American Association of Political Consultants for creative advertising excellence.

Tim Clark led the California Delegation - the nation's largest - to the 2016 Republican National Convention. California's delegates put Donald J. Trump over-the-top for the national GOP nomination for President of the United States. The delegation also received the most national press coverage at the convention.
